Privacy Policy

The short version

Attention Age is built to keep your data on your device. There is no account, no login, no advertising, and no third-party analytics. The only information that leaves your device is what Apple and our purchase processor need to make subscriptions work.

What stays on your device

  • Your Attention Index results, category scores and full test history
  • Your optional focus-session task names and reflections
  • All drill results, reaction times, and training sessions
  • Daily Signal results and streaks
  • Deep Work session history
  • Progression data (levels, badges, cosmetics, companion state)

This data is stored locally using Apple's on-device storage. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Version 1.2 no longer asks for your age. If an earlier version stored an age you entered, it stays only on your device and is not used for scoring. Local data may be included in your own encrypted device backups (iCloud or computer) under Apple's settings; there is no separate cloud copy, so deleting the app without a backup permanently removes your history.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, to validate purchases and keep your subscription active across reinstalls. RevenueCat processes purchase history and an anonymous, randomly generated identifier. It does not receive your name, email, scores, age, or any training data, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.

Website

The browser challenges run entirely in your browser. Results such as today's Daily Signal are saved only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us. The site does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and operations.

Health (optional)

If you choose to allow it, Attention Age can log completed Deep Work sessions to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. This is write-only and entirely optional: the app never reads your health data, never uses health data in any score, and works fully if you decline. You can change this permission at any time in the Health app.

Notifications

Reminders (daily training, streaks, weekly re-test, Daily Signal) are scheduled locally on your device. Notification permission is requested only after your first completed training session, and every category can be turned off in Settings.

Your controls

  • Export: Settings → Export my data (CSV) gives you a copy of your history.
  • Delete: Settings → Delete all data permanently erases everything on the device.
  • Deleting the app also deletes all locally stored data.

What we don't do

  • No advertising SDKs and no behavioral advertising
  • No sale or sharing of personal data
  • No third-party analytics of your cognitive performance
  • No tracking across apps or websites

Children

Attention Age is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
